These are the brands that kept coming up in research and did not clear the pillar check.

Made In Ceramic: The cookware itself is well-built, but Made In does not publish third-party leach test results for the ceramic-coated line — the brand FAQ references “testing” without links, lab names, or dates, which is exactly the pattern that fails the Transparency pillar.

Lodge Enameled Cast Iron: Bare Lodge cast iron is clean and a fine choice. The enameled line is the problem — exterior glazes on colored pieces made in China have received lead flags from independent XRF testing, and Lodge does not publish enamel-specific leach data on the interior food-contact surface.

Le Creuset: The interior enamel on flagship pieces generally tests clean. But at $200–$400 for a skillet, the brand leans on heritage and design rather than chemistry disclosures.
