Fair Marrow runs on tips from people who know things. We’re a small editorial team covering a big industry, and a lot of what ends up in our reviews started with someone who had a gut feeling, a screenshot, or insider knowledge they wanted to put to use.
If you’ve spotted something we should cover — a reformulation, a certification that doesn’t hold up, a brand making claims it can’t back up, a founder with a pattern — we want to hear from you.
Here’s how to reach us, and what to expect when you do.
Tips and Story Leads
This is the inbox for things the world should probably know about. We want to hear from you if you have:
- Evidence that a brand’s ingredient list doesn’t match its label or marketing
- Certification fraud or a brand claiming credentials they haven’t earned
- A reformulation that made a product worse — or better — without disclosure
- Founder or brand behavior that contradicts public-facing values
- Supply chain concerns (labor practices, sourcing misrepresentation)
- A regulatory complaint, warning letter, or legal action we should know about
You don’t need a fully sourced investigative dossier. A credible lead with context is enough to get us started. We’ll do our own verification.
We protect sources. If you ask us to keep your name out of it, we will. We do not share tip-sender information with brands we cover, and we have not done so. Ever.
Anonymous tips are accepted. Use a temporary email address if you need to. We’d rather have your information than have you stay quiet because you’re worried about blowback.
General Inquiries
For everything else — reader questions, feedback on a review, questions about the Fair Marrow Standard, or just something on your mind. We read everything, though we can’t always respond individually.
Press Inquiries
Media requests, interview inquiries, and requests for comment. We respond to press inquiries within 48 business hours when possible.
Brand Submissions
Brands can submit themselves for review consideration at /submit (the submission form is coming — check back soon).
A few things worth knowing before you submit: submission does not guarantee coverage, and it does not affect how we score you if we do cover you. We’ll evaluate your brand exactly the same way we evaluate every other brand — against the Fair Marrow Standard, using publicly available information, our own testing, and our editorial process.
What we don’t do:
- Paid placements or sponsored reviews of any kind
- Reviews on demand or to a brand’s timeline
- Brand crisis management or reputation rehabilitation
- Score adjustments in exchange for anything
If someone contacts you claiming to offer Fair Marrow coverage for a fee, it isn’t us.
Contact Form
A contact form is coming. For now, email is the best way to reach us. We prefer it — it keeps a thread, and we can give your message the attention it deserves.
Fair Marrow is based in Naperville, IL. We’re a small independent publication, so response times vary — but we do read every email. We are not affiliated with any brand, retailer, or trade organization, and no one is paying us to say that.
